Hey Tony thanks for visiting.

Yeah I tried to experiment with time lapse photography where you take a series of pictures and make them into a super fast movie.

The issue with the S5700 is even when you turn off all the Auto Focusing modes and set it to manual it still takes a frame as 1.3 sec which to be honest is was too long to be usable. What you happen is I would be on a street taking shots of people walking along the street and some people walking across would only be there for one frame. Its called the blip effect.

Seems a lot can happen in 1.3 secs!

Nice blog btw I will check it out :-)

I too have a S5700 and find it a great camera. It's not perfect, but it is a heavy hitter. I find that sometimes it doesn't save a pic fast enough for the next shot, for example at a race track, shots are missed when the poor camera is saving. If you set it to constant save where is allows multiple shots to be taken it is a complete disaster. Instead set it to 3 frames and it can cope.

Thanks for the tips on the filters and fisheye lens. I came from an old slr - a Pentax Spotmatic and I had a 28mm wide angle lens. This I miss. Cameras are a compromise - so is life!

sighs....

I want a DSLR (period). :cool
I've got the step up camera from what you have or at least that's my impression, lol...i seriously don't know. But! I do like it and I have had relatively few problems with it. And! It takes great low light shots. Of course I have this handy dandy tripod mounted on the front of me.....as long as it doesn't shake like jello, huh. Hah...hah One of the biggest things is it isn't convenient.I need something to snap and shoot on the fly. Oooopsie...see. That's just it! Once you get started there is never an end. LOL!

Nice list! One of these days I'm going to sign up for a class. I keep saying that..so hopefully soon. You know kids and all...take up so much time....hee.

Welp! Trains leaving the station. I'm hearing the call. All aboard! Off to the Hundred Acre Woods! Thanks for stopping by. I'll see how many shot I can get. Not uncommon for it to be in the hundreds, why is that(?). :-)
